PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN

I couldn't resist taking a late walk yesterday night.
It has been raining in Brooklyn and the park was hot, humid, diffusing many scents.
Somehow it felt like being in Asia.

BACK IN NEW YORK

This time it's for real... back home... in New York.
The top one arriving by the LIRR, the bottom one early this morning along Canal St.

BACK HOME, WELL, KIND OF...

A last stop in France, in my home town, Tourcoing before heading back to Brooklyn.
No doubt that Tourcoing does not have the charm of Trouville but it's my hometown and as such I still have a lot of emotional ties to it. Difficult to describe but I like Tourcoing even if I must recognize that things are not changing for the best. It seems that a lot of shops are closing, that life is slowly moving to other cities around. The only positive sign is the rehabilitation of old industrial building into nice condos.

TROUVILLE / DEAUVILLE BY NIGHT

I have, as far as I can remember, always been in love with these moments of the day when the city lights blend in the natural light.
It's still magical for me. Even more so in the early mornings when everything is so silent.
Daylight is always coming to soon...

TROUVILLE / DEAUVILLE BY DAY

Here is a mix of images of Deauville & Trouville by day.
A quiet, at this time of the year, spot on the coast about 2 1/2 hours from Paris.
Beautiful beaches, skies, and delicious fish [ not shown here...].

LYON, FRANCE

September 19th... Back in town after two weeks in France.
Time to get back to work and post again...
A few images from Lyon. Early morning around the basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière.
Last one from the train going to Trouville, Normandie...

PLAYING TOURIST

Good friends of mine stopped by NYC for a couple of days. This visit and the Labor Day week-end extended the vacations a bit.
On a boat between Williamsburg and the Brooklyn Bridge.

RIDEAU!

This draws the curtain on those vacations...
